Got a good Singapore city tour package? Not sure what to pack since it’s the first time you’re visiting the Lion City? Don’t worry. This article can help you out. Read on to find out what you should bring to make the most out of the experience.

  • Comfortable Clothing. Don’t pack anything that’s heavy, stifling, synthetic, and extremely form-fitting. Otherwise, you’re in for a very hot and sweltering vacation. Stick to clothing that are light, comfortable, and breathable. For women, consider packing shorts, skirts, and dresses. For men, consider packing shorts, shirts, and sandals. Bring a jacket or two for when you enter and explore air-conditioned locations like shopping malls.
  • Comfortable Footwear. Singapore tours often involve a lot of walking, exploring, and hiking. So, avoid packing confining and complicated footwear. Disregard style for comfort. Go for well-worn sandals, sneakers, and rubber shoes.
  • Deodorant. Given the country’s tropical weather, expect that you’ll do a lot of sweating during your excursions. And, that can cause some uncomfortable and awkward situations regarding body odour. Be prepared for this by investing in a strong deodorant.
  • Device Chargers and Power Banks. Forgetting these essentials can definitely interfere with your vacation. So, make sure they’re some of the first things you pack into your bags and suitcase. Double-check their functionality. If you’ve secured a short excursion, like a Singapore layover tour, it’s crucial that all your devices are charged and ready. That way, you won’t miss a chance to document your memories.  Having backups (power banks) also doesn’t hurt.
  • Mosquito Repellent. Whether your tour takes you to the country’s hidden nature spots or just in the metropolitan areas, it’s still imperative that you bring a powerful mosquito repellent with you—preferably one that’s long-lasting. Apply some before you leave your hotel.
  • Don’t be stingy. Re-apply as often as necessary. Remember, prevention is always better than cure. Getting sick in the middle of your vacation can ruin the experience.
  • Sunscreen. Singapore is not known for its mild or cool weather. In fact, it’s quite the contrary.
  • So, make sure you have ways to protect yourself from the intense heat—especially if your trip includes Singapore shore excursions. The risk for sunburn is high, even if your activity takes place when the sun is no longer at its peak. Invest in a sunscreen with a high SPF. Apply some before you leave for your tours. Then, re-apply whenever necessary.
  • Raingear. No need to bring anything heavy or heavy-duty like rain boots. But, make sure you bring a sturdy umbrella. In Singapore, rains can really pour especially during the monsoon season. The Southwest Monsoon happens from June to September while the Northeast Monsoon happens from mid-November to early March. If your excursion takes place within these months, invest in some reliable raingear. Also, pay attention to weather forecasts during your stay.

Double-check your bags and suitcase before you leave for your Singapore tour. Make sure all these travel essentials are accounted for.
